I began this painting probably 3 years ago with a value study on the canvas.  One day, searching for a new canvas, I found this and suddenly it began to speak to me again.  I think (one never really knows for sure) this one is finished.  Unaweep canyon is in western Colorado and a wonderful drive from just outside Colorado National Monument to  Uravan near the Utah border.
